Kyle is an American rapper, singer, and member of the SuperDuper Crew. He was formerly known as K.i.D. He rose to prominence with the hit single “iSpy” featuring Lil Yachty. His discography includes Beautiful Loser (2013) and Smyle (2015). Kyle Thomas Harvey was born on May 18, 1993, in Los Angeles. He grew up in Ventura, California, where he attended Ventura High School. He ran track during high school.

CAREER
Kyle began writing poetry/lyrics at a young age. He grew up listening to artists like Jadakiss, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and Jae Hood. He was also inspired by the likes of Wiz Khalifa and Kid Cudi. Most of his early projects were credited under the moniker K.i.D. Kyle’s debut mixtape, Beautiful Loser, was released in August 2013 by Indie-Pop Music and Super Duper. It spawned tracks like “Keep it Real”, “Raining Love” and “BANG” featuring Mr. Man. His second mixtape, Smyle, was released in October 2015. It charted at #76 on the Billboard 200 and #7 on the Top Rap Albums Chart. The mixtape featured guest artists like Chance the Rapper, Yuna, and Jesse Rutherford.

In 2015, Kyle collaborated with Kehlani on the single “Just a Picture”, and with G-Eazy on “King Wavy”. He was named as one of the top-10 artists you need to know by Rolling Stone magazine. Kyle is currently signed to Atlantic Records. His most popular song to date “iSpy” featuring Lil Yachty was released in December 2016. The track was produced by Ayo and Lege Kale. ‘iSpy’ was certified 2x Platinum in the U.S. with more than 2 million copies sold. It peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #3 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The official music video was released in April 2017. It was viewed more than 75 million times during the first two months. Kyle’s more recent songs include “Want Me Bad” and “Nothing 2 Lose”. He was named to the 2017 XXL Freshman class in June 2017. The other freshmen include Kamaiyah, Ugly God, PnB Rock and MadeinTYO.
